This morning we drove with Sharon to the coast to do a hike in the Point Reyes National Seashore area. This is a huge peninsula with many hiking trails.
Recently there were sightings of migrating whales and we hoped to see some. We hiked to Limantour Beach where Monte the Mountie Travel Moose got his first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean.
We had lunch on the beach and continued our walk along the seashore looked for whales to no avail.
After our 11 km hike, we walked around the little town of Point Reyes. Quaint stores and the odd exotic car. A 1969 Aston Martin V8.... looks like its still in daily operation!
We were a little thirsty after the hike and the 68 F temperatures so we ducked into the Old Western Saloon for a cold beer.
A great day and a fabulous Nepalese dinner at the Yeti Restaurant in Glen Ellen.
